Don B. Blankenship of Brownsburg

Don B. Blankenship of Brownsburg died Sunday. He was 74.

Mr. Blankenship was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired Indianapolis Fire Department firefighter and a member of the Indianapolis Retired Firefighters Association.

He was a master fish breeder and a member of the Circle City Aquarium Club. An avid golfer, he had achieved professional status in the senior PGA.

Survivors include his mother, Ruby Blankenship Longworth; a sister, Marsha (Harold) Ewick; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his father, Raymond Blankenship, and a brother, James Blankenship.

Services are noon Saturday at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg. Interment will be at Brownsburg Cemetery.

Calling at the mortuary are for two hours prior to the service.
