— John Edward “Buck" Threewits died Nov. 17 at Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. He was 60.
Born Feb. 9, 1950, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Leon Franklin Threewits and Mary J. Kirk.
Mr. Threewits was an entrepreneur and small business owner of Spherion Staffing for 25 years, and was president of Warrior Construction Management. He was a charter member of the Brownsburg Liars Club.
He graduated from Northwest High School in Indianapolis and MiraCosta College in California, where he attended on the GI bill after serving two tours of duty in Vietnam, 1968 and 1969. He was a corporal in the Marine Corp., where he was a combat photographer. Mr. Threewits was awarded the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry among several other citations.
He is survived by his wife of eight years, Kathleen McHugh Threewits. Also surviving are his mother; sisters Linda (Frank) Harp, Sherrie (Dave) Rippert, and Theresa Kirk; in-laws Jeanne McHugh, Mary (Dave) Binkley, Angie (Chuck) Hert, Jim (Maureen) McHugh, Louie (Lisa) McHugh, Margee McHugh, and Maureen (Mark) Barkley; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his father, brother Artie, mother-in-law Aggie McHugh, and brother-in-law Michael McHugh.
Services are 10 a.m. Nov. 23 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with viewing 3Ð7 p.m. Nov. 22. Burial with military honors will follow.
