DANVILLE — Hendricks County Sheriff Dave Galloway recently appointed Major Harold “Hoot” Gibson as the new Hendricks County Jail Commander. He replaces Frank Kolacz, who has retired after four years of service.
Gibson has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Ball State University and more than 30 years of law enforcement experience. He served in the Indiana Army National Guard for 12 years and in the U.S. Navy Nuclear Submarine Force for eight years. He was also the chief of police in Brownsburg for more than 10 years.
Gibson and his wife reside in Plainfield.
