DANVILLE — Hendricks County Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Masterson was recently recognized by Sheriff Dave Galloway for catching a potential safety threat. Masterson was guarding an inmate at the hospital when he noticed the man trying to steal a knife while eating. Masterson quickly recovered the knife. Sheriff Galloway said by staying alert, Masterson was able to save himself and hospital staff from potential problems.
