Crabtree
PV2 Erin M. Crabtree completed her basic training with the U.S. Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., in May. After a month of advanced training with Echo Co., 3rd Battalion, 10th Infantry, she was transferred to Fort Bliss, Texas.
On Sept. 13, her company was deployed to Iraq.
She is the daughter of Roger and Sara Crabtree of Indianapolis and Kelly Essex of Brownsburg.
U.S. Navy Seaman Joshua T. Gath, son of Debra K. and Arnold E. Gath of Plainfield, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.
U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Aaron W. Russell and fellow Sailors aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65) formed a Coalition of Sailors Against Destructive Decisions (CSADD) committee.
Plainfield native promoted to colonel
U.S. Navy Seaman Cody J. Haller was recently promoted to his current rank upon graduation from recruit training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.
Avon man earns Army promotion
U.S. Army Spc. Andrew R. “Drew” Kovacs was recently promoted to his current rank.
U.S. Air Force Airman Austin B. Honey graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
U.S. Air Force Airman Jivon M. Sims graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
U.S. Army PFC Keifer L. Marsh graduated from basic training at Fort Benning, Ga.
Cascade graduate completes basic
Danny Monaghan graduated from the United States Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May, N.J.
BHS graduate completes basic
Derek Beaver graduated from U.S. Air Force basic training as an AIC on March 29, 2012, at Lackland Air force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
