CLAYTON — Delores I. Hoop of Clayton will celebrate her 90th birthday Jan. 5. She was born in South Sioux City, Neb., in 1921.

She is a member of the Hazelwood Christian Church and Eagles Ladies Auxiliary in Plainfield. She has been married to Harry Hoop Jr. for 65  years.

They are the parents of Chester Hoop of Danville, the late Richard Hoop, Evelyn Bleil of Kingsley, Iowa, and Stephen, Bud, and Candace Hoop, all of Clayton.

The Hoops have 11 grandchildren: Julie Evans, Lisa Maynor, Sherri Meador, Rick and Dave Riemenschneider, Tamara Lawson, Stephenie Knotts, Kari Gould, Sarah and Stephen Hoop, and Tina Coon.

They have 23 great grandchildren: Patrick, Emily and Nicholas Evans; Jake and Kristen Meador; JaeLyn and Gracie Riemenschneider; Jeff and Tracie Mullen; Stephan, Tarron and Tance Lawson; Tarra Lawerence; Taylor and Tyler Knotts; Lacey and Courtney Kenworthy; Brooke and Brianna Trump; Chelsea and Chloe Gould; and Kirsten and Colin Coon. The Hoops also have three great-great-grandchildren: Kaylynn, Eli and Braxtyn.
