INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the intersection of East 37th and North Oxford streets earlier this week on a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound and another man attempting to revive him with CPR. Emergency medical services personnel arrived and pronounced the man dead.
The victim has been preliminarily identified, but his name is being withheld to allow notification of his family. The Marion County Coroner’s Office was scheduled to conduct an autopsy Wednesday morning.
