INDIANAPOLIS — After a successful Kids Theater Winter Break camp, the Wayne Township Community Theatre will host Kids Theater Spring Break Camps.
All students in grades 1-8 are able to attend. A week-long camp is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 29 to April 2.
The camp covers a variety of theater topics including acting, dancing, singing, improvisation, and theater games. A performance for friends and family will be conducted on the final afternoon. The camp is a break from regular academic study, yet it focuses on important skills such as public speaking, listening, and working as a team. Camp registrations include a nominal fee.
Wayne Township Community Theatre will also host summer theater camps for students ages 5-18.
Four camps are scheduled throughout the summer with the first beginning June 7. Two day camps for children ages 8-12, one day camp for children ages 5-7, and one camp for children 12 years and older are slated. Campers will attend the day camps where they will learn and rehearse lines, help with costumes, create and build sets, and conclude with a performance. All camp registrations include a nominal fee.
