One dead, one injured at westside gun shop

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives were on the scene at the Don’s Guns and Galleries, Inc. location on Lafayette Road investigating an incident that left one man dead and another injured shortly after noon on Monday.

When officers arrived they were able to confirm that two people had been shot inside the business.

One person was transported to an area hospital and the other died at the scene.

As of press time, detectives were working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

IMPD is asking anyone with information about the case to call 327-3475 or Crime Stoppers at 262-8477. Callers can also text INDYCS plus tip information to 274627.

More information will be made available as it is obtained.
