Group to host annual coat drive

The Plainfield Church Federation is preparing for its sixth annual Winter Warmth Coat Drive.

New or clean used coats are being collected until Oct. 21 to be given to Hendricks County residents from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 28 at Avon High School.

Coats may be dropped off at the Purdue Extension Office at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds and Conference Complex in Danville; Physiotherapy Associates in Avon; First Baptist Church in Plainfield; the Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library; Whitestone Food Pantry; Avon Christian Church; Danville United Methodist Church (from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday); Messiah Lutheran Church in Brownsburg; Plainfield Christian Church; Plainfield United Methodist Church; St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Plainfield; St. Susanna Catholic Church in Plainfield; Red Horse Livery at the lodge in Coatesville; and Stilesville Christian Church.
