World Class Beer offers iPhone app

Before you start bar hopping across town searching for your favorite brew - stop, pull out your smart phone, and download the latest iPhone application by World Class Beer: Craft Beer Locator.

World Class Beer, an association of leading craft and specialty beer wholesalers, this month unveiled a new mobile application Craft Beer Locator - compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. The application allows users to rate, suggest, share, locate, and store information about their new favorite brew or brewery from the comfort of their barstools.

By installing the Craft Beer Locator, users can develop a beer preference profile, locate craft and specialty brews, access beer, bar, and restaurant ratings and reviews, and rate their favorite beers. The application also learns beer preferences over time based on each user's tailored profile and suggests new brews to try.

Currently, the search function of the app pulls from the data of more than 40 craft and specialty wholesalers, covering territories in 27 states. New areas and brands are being added as new distributors join the effort to connect consumers with their brands.

World Class Beer is an association of craft and specialty beer-minded distributors located in more than 25 states across the United States. World Class Beer-affiliated distributors reach more than 100,000 stores, bars, and restaurants with more than 7,500 beer brands from more than 800 breweries.

To access the app, download it from the AppStore or visit the website at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/craft-beer-locator-by-world/id561697035?mt=8.
