PLAINFIELD — A Plainfield teen was killed in a moped accident around 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Sgt. Betsy Krieger with the Plainfield Police Department said a pick-up truck was involved in the accident that killed Ben Kempf, 15.
“I don’t believe anyone in the truck was injured,” she said.
She said the accident occurred near the intersection of County Roads 675 East and 600 South, around Hadley and Hall roads here.
Officers are still reconstructing the scene and have not determined how the accident happened. No more information is available at this time.
