What’s going on?



The Hendricks County Senior Center is open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offers the following activities:

Today — Fitness center open, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; two-mile walk aerobics, 8:30 a.m.; one-mile walk aerobics, 9:30 a.m.; craft group, 10 a.m.; Wii bowling, 10 a.m.; Arthritis Fit program, 10:30 a.m.; Stroke Support Group, 10:30 a.m.; one-mile walk aerobics, 11 a.m.; lunch, noon; two-mile walk aerobics, 1 p.m.; T.O.P.S. program, 6 p.m.; yoga classes at Clarian West (discount for HCSS members), 6 p.m.

Sept. 17 — Fitness center open, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; one-mile walk aerobics, 9:30 a.m.; free blood pressure screening provided by Preferred Home Health, 10 a.m.; yoga classes at Clarian West (discount for HCSS members), 10 a.m.; card games, 10 a.m.; entertainment by Gene Denton & Guests, 10 a.m.; Arthritis Fit program, 10:30 a.m.; one-mile walk aerobics, 11 a.m.; Stretch & Flex program, 11:40 a.m.; lunch provided by Danville Rehabilitation Center, noon; 50-cent bingo sponsored by Roland Retirement Clubs, 1:30 p.m.; tai chi from the Arthritis Foundation (level one), 2:20 p.m.

Sept. 18 — Fitness center open, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Senior Power Breakfast, 8:30 a.m.; two-mile walk aerobics, 8:30 a.m.; one-mile walk aerobics, 9:30 a.m.; Wii bowling, 10 a.m.; Arthritis Fit program, 10:30 a.m.; one-mile walk aerobics, 11 a.m.; lunch, noon; Senior Service bowling at Brownsburg Bowl, noon; two-mile walk aerobics, 1 p.m.; tai chi from the Arthritis Foundation (level two), 2:30 p.m.; entertainment by the Hendricks County Line Band, 6 p.m.

Sept. 19 — Fitness center open, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; wood carving, 9 a.m.; one-mile walk aerobics, 9:30 a.m.; Wii bowling, 10 a.m.; line dance class at Plainfield United Methodist Church, 10:30 a.m.; Arthritis Fit program, 10:30 a.m.; one-mile walk aerobics, 11 a.m.; Stretch & Flex program, 11:40 a.m.; lunch with special desserts provided by Kindred Healthcare, noon; 25-cent bingo sponsored by The Hearth at Prestwick, 12:30 p.m.

Sept. 20 — Fitness center open, 8 to 10 a.m.

Sept. 22 — Fitness center open, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; one-mile walk aerobics, 9:30 a.m.; euchre, 10:30 a.m.; one-mile walk aerobics, 11 a.m.; Stretch & Flex program, 11:40 a.m.; The Sound of Music with Fran, 11:45 a.m.; bowling at Brownsburg Bowl, noon; lunch, noon; art class, 12:30 p.m.; clogging, 1:30 p.m.; wood carving, 3 p.m.; line dancing, 6 p.m.; women’s chorus, 7 p.m.
