Brownsburg hosts free recycling event

BROWNSBURG — Brownsburg and Pittsboro residents who have collected a few too many summer souvenirs have an eco-friendly option for clearing some space.

The town of Brownsburg and the Disposable Alternatives Organizations are sponsoring a free recycling event on Saturday at the Town of Brownsburg Fleet Maintenance Department, 221 S. Mardale Drive. Businesses and residents of Brownsburg and Pittsboro can drop off recyclable appliances, electronics, and hazardous wastes such as batteries and paint from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Items too big for transport can be scheduled for free pickup by calling 375-7788. For more information, visit the website www.brownsburg.org.
