Coffee shop closing in Brownsburg library

BROWNSBURG — The Literate Bean coffee shop will be closing in the Brownsburg Public Library, effective July 31.

“We love having this service available for our patrons, but understand that the coffee business and the economy are tough right now,” Director Wanda Pearson said. “We wish Mr. (Lee) Tesdahl the best in future endeavors.”

Pearson said library patrons will miss the offering of coffee in the building, but added that they’re welcome to bring in their own drinks, as long as they have lids.

Plans for the vacated space are undetermined. Funding for the project was paid for by donations and investments from Tesdahl.

• Indianapolis champions lung cancer cause

  Local residents are fueling the national movement to double lung cancer survival at the inaugural Free to Breathe Indianapolis Run/Walk June 22 at Fort Harrison State Park in Indianapolis.

  The 42,012 square-foot facility expands the company’s U.S. footprint to 24 contact centers across 13 states.

  A major new festival known as The White River Arts & Music Festival (WARMfest) recently announced that its inaugural three-day event would take place on Labor Day Weekend Aug. 31 through Sept. 2 at Broad Ripple Park in Indianapolis.
