BROWNSBURG — The Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra will perform big band classics from the Great American Songbook as well as new arrangements and original compositions at Brownsburg Parks next Summer Concert Series date on July 15.
Presented by Brownsburg Meadows, the free concert series takes place 5-7 p.m. on the lawn at Brownsburg Town Hall, 61 N. Green St. The Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra’s instrumentalists and vocalists perform big band jazz standards from the 1930s through ’60s.
Families may also enjoy the KidZone sports activities and UFO-shaped bounce house, new to the concert series this summer. Concert-goers are welcome to pack a picnic and bring a blanket or chairs to enjoy the performance. Alcohol is prohibited at town hall.
Upcoming concerts in the series are Indianapolis singer/songwriter Jennie DeVoe on July 22 and country duo Cooke & Belle on Aug. 5.
