BROWNSBURG — The Brownsburg Parks Department will host a Tennis Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 28 to show off the newly refurbished tennis courts at Arbuckle Acres Park.
A new surface was applied to the courts and new regulation tennis, 10 and under tennis, and pickleball lines have been painted. The parks department also installed a tennis wall, the only one of its kind in Hendricks County, to let players work on their skills without a need for a partner.
The free event will have entertainment, games, and giveaways for people of all ages. Representatives from the United States Tennis Association will provide tennis and pickleball demonstrations and offer chances for free USTA memberships.
Brownsburg Parks will also be offering a 10 and under tennis program throughout the year to teach young players the basics of tennis on a court and with equipment designed specifically for youth.
