Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the 4900 block of West Morris Street on a report of a wanted subject, but quickly called for the SWAT team.
Shortly after 4 a.m. Friday, police received an anonymous call stating that Stori Emerson, wanted on a warrant, was at the West Morris Street location. Emerson, 31, of Indianapolis, was wanted for felony possession of marijuana.
When police arrived, they saw signs of movement inside the residence and then heard what they believed were three gunshots. Officers backed away, set up a perimeter, and called for the SWAT team and the Crisis Negotiation Unit.
Three people came out of the house, but police say Emerson remained inside. Negotiators made contact with him and were able to talk him out.
Emerson was apprehended without further incident shortly after 6 a.m. He was arrested for his outstanding warrant and transported to the Arrestee Processing Center.
