McGowan-Lewis Walls engagement

Melanie McGowan and Lt. Nick Lewis-Walls, both of Plainfield, are planning a March 3 wedding in Indianapolis.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dr. Gregory and Mrs. Beverly McGowan of Plainfield. She graduated from Plainfield High School in 2007 and the University of Southern Indiana in '11 with a bachelor of arts degree in marketing and a minor in economics. She works for Enterprise Rent A Car.

The prospective groom is the son of Garry Walls and Claire Lewis. He graduated from Plainfield High School in 2006 and the United States Military Academy in ‘10 with a bachelor of science degree in human geography and geospatial information science. He is an infantry platoon leader in the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, stationed at Fort Knox, Ky.
