Sarah J. Matney of Springport and Jeffrey M. Becker of Avon are planning an Oct. 13 wedding in Muncie.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Terry and Debbie Matney of Springport. She is a 2009 graduate of Purdue University and a ‘10 graduate of Marian University. She works as a second-grade teacher at McClelland Elementary School for the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township.

The prospective groom is the son of Lori Westwick Becker of Avon and Greg Becker of Plainfield. He graduated from Avon High School in 2005, Purdue University in ‘09, and is currently working on his MBA at IUPUI. He is a mechanical engineer at Rolls Royce.
