The American Heart Association is accepting nominations for people who have made positive impacts on the heart health of central Indiana residents and/or advanced the association’s mission of building healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
Two Heart of the Community Awards will be presented May 18 at the association’s 28th annual Heart of Gold Ball in downtown Indianapolis.
Categories include a healthcare professional, recognizing efforts put forth by an individual employed in the healthcare field; and a community award, recognizing efforts put forth by a central Indiana resident who is not employed in the healthcare field.
Nomination forms may be found online at www.heart.org. The deadline for submitting nominations is March 31.
The first annual Heart of the Community Awards were presented last year to individuals who performed CPR to save lives.
