Coatesville brothers earn Eagle Scout status

COATESVILLE — Cody and Kaleb Savoldi were recognized at a Troop 301 Eagle Scout Court of Honor earlier this month. The brothers both completed projects at Hope’s Way, owned and operated by Rick and Liz Shafer.

Hope’s Way is a non-profit recreation center for special needs children and their families in Bainbridge.

Cody, 16, had an Eagle Scout project that entailed building a covered bridge replica, using a semi-trailer. Kaleb, 15, built a one-room school house for his Eagle Scout project.

Both projects were huge undertakings and took several months to complete.

The Savoldis recognized several mentors that have guided and influenced them throughout their scouting careers. Kaleb gave mentor pins to his second-grade teacher, Liz Lewis; his grandfather, John Savoldi; and Troop 301 Committee Chairman Steve Weakley. Cody’s mentors were his grandmother, Eileen Savoldi; his cousin, Nick Fraizer; and Weakley.

The boys are the sons of Ralph and Kathy Savoldi of Coatesville.
