Indianapolis man

enlists in U.S.A.F.

Steven A. Bridges II of Indianapolis recently enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.

Upon successful completion of the Air Force’s six-week basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base near San Antonio, Texas, Bridges is scheduled to receive training in the general area.

He enlisted under the Air Force six-year program and upon completion of his technical training will receive a promotion to E-3.

He will be earning credits toward an associate degree in applied sciences through the Community College of the Air Force while attending basic and technical training schools.

U.S. Air Force Airman Katherine E. Ford graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

Ford completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Ford is a 2009 graduate of Cardinal Ritter High School in Indianapolis. She is the daughter of Elizabeth and Richard Ford of Brownsburg, and the granddaughter of Sonny and Penny Ford of Fort Myers, Fla.



Avon man enlists

in U.S.A.F.

John K. Ricketts of Avon recently enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.

Upon successful completion of the Air Force’s six-week basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base near San Antonio, Texas, Ricketts is scheduled to receive training in the area of electronics.

He is enlisted under the Air Force’s six-year program and, upon completion of his technical training, will receive a promotion to E-3.

He will be earning credits toward an associate degree in applied sciences through the Community College of the Air Force while attending basic and technical training schools.
