John and Jane (Ebner) Martin of Plainfield will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 31. They were married at Broadway United Methodist Church in Indianapolis in 1959.
Mrs. Martin was formerly employed at Broadway United Methodist Church, First Congregational Church, and Christian Theological Seminary. She was also previously involved in different aspects of church and children’s school activities. She is currently involved in P.E.O., the Plainfield Woman’s Club, and Plainfield United Methodist Church.
Mr. Martin was previously employed with the University of Illinois and Carrier Corporation. He was a volunteer with numerous organizations and is currently involved in the Plainfield United Methodist Church.
Their children are Mary Anne Martin (Sonny Griffith) of Plainfield; and Cathy (Orville) Stenger of Plainfield. Their grandchildren are Tyler and Hope Stenger, and Catherine, Mariel, and Will Griffith.
