Hazel Mae Strode of Tompkinville, Ky., and Clayton, celebrated her 78th birthday Oct. 25.
She is retired from the Mill Creek Community School Corporation, and is a member of Clayton Christian Church.
She married Claude Strode and survives him.
Children are Sue Bemis of Clayton, Mike Strode of Lebanon, Margie Smith of Sheridan, Garry Strode of Danville, Tim Strode of Clayton, Robby Strode of Clayton, and Debbie Geralds of Indianapolis. She has 25 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
