Private Cody Lathan of Plainfield recently graduated from the U.S. Marine Corps boot camp in San Diego, Calif.
Lathan will be working in tank amphibious assault with the Marine Corps.
He is the son of Debbie and Tim Lathan and is a 2009 graduate of Plainfield High School. Siblings are Stefan and Whitney Lathan; grandparents are Earl and Helen Skinner of Mooresville, and Janice and Chandler Combs of Indianapolis.
