The children of William D. and Wanda M. (Pugh) Guarnery will honor their parents with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 7 at Eaton Hall in Brownsburg, in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary.

The Guarnerys were married Jan. 4, 1952, in Indianapolis.

Mr. Guarnery was the purchasing manager for Allison Transmission Division of General Motors until retiring in 1988 and recently completed his 11th year on the Brownsburg Town Council. Mrs. Guarnery works at Speedway United Methodist Child Care.

They are members of 7th and 8th United Christian Church.

The Guarnerys are the parents of Ken Guarnery, Kathy Guarnery, Michael Guarnery, and Karen Cory. They are the grandparents of Jon Guarnery, Joe Guarnery, MaryAnne Guarnery, Chris Thompson, Nick Guarnery, Zach Thompson, Tommy Guarnery, Jake Hally, Ben Guarnery, and Cate Guarnery. They are the great-grandparents of Jack and Patrick Guarnery.
