Brownsburg woman

enlists in U.S.A.F.

Ashley S. Frazee of Brownsburg recently enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.

Upon successful completion of the Air Force’s six-week basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base near San Antonio, Texas, Frazee is scheduled to receive training in the general area. She enlisted under the Air Force’s six-year program and upon completion of her technical training will receive a promotion to E-3.

She will be earning credits toward an associate degree in applied sciences through the Community College of the Air Force while attending basic and technical training schools.



Plainfield woman

enlists in U.S.A.F.

Kaci R. Gardner of Plainfield recently enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.

Upon successful completion of the Air Force’s six-week basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base near San Antonio, Texas, Gardner is scheduled to receive training as an aerospace maintenance apprentice.

She enlisted under the Air Force six-year program and upon completion of her technical training will receive a promotion to E-3.

Gardner will be earning credits toward an associate degree in applied sciences through the Community College of the Air Force while attending basic and technical training schools.

U.S. Army National Guard Pvt. Miles K. Miller has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

During nine weeks of training, he studied the Army mission, history, tradition, and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.

Miller is a 2006 graduate of Plainfield High School. He is the son of Tonya Miller of Plainfield.
