Wild Birds Unlimited ranked No. 1 in franchisee satisfaction

AVON —

Franchise Business Review announced the recipients of its 2012 Franchise Satisfaction Awards, and Wild Birds Unlimited ranked number one in the specialty retail category.

The franchise also ranked No. 10 in large class franchise systems (systems with 200 or more franchisees) and No. 17 in best of the best (all franchises, regardless of size).

Franchise Business Review annually recognizes franchisors with the highest overall franchisee satisfaction based on its survey of franchisees. The survey includes 33 benchmark questions, relating to the franchisee’s experience and satisfaction as well as market area, business lifestyle, and other demographic characteristics. Franchise Business Review contacts each franchisee individually with an average franchisee participation rate of 70 percent.

According to the survey, Wild Birds Unlimited can contribute their high ranking and overall business success to their core values, which guide the company at every level, focusing the support offered to franchisees.

“This award recognizes that our franchisees are happy with the support they receive and the culture we have created in which to operate a successful franchise,” Jim Carpenter, president, founder, and CEO said in a press release. “I wanted to create a culture from inception that we are all on the same team and we can work together to help grow not only individual store sales but the entire system.”

Wild Birds Unlimited, Inc., is the original and largest franchise system of backyard bird feeding and nature specialty stores with more than 275 locations throughout the United States and Canada. The company specializes in bringing people and nature together with bird feeding and nature products, expert advice, and educational events.
