Inmate with Morgan County ties walks away from IDOC

Fran Osburn, superintendent of the Edinburgh Correctional Facility, announced that an inmate had walked away from an offender work crew while on the grounds of the Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center, where the Edinburgh Correctional Facility is co-located.

Edinburgh is a minimum security work facility of the Indiana Department of Corrections.

Jacob Aflleje was serving a 10-year sentence out of Morgan County for arson, and was due to be released on July 7. He was assigned to the warehouse/state maintenance facility inside Camp Atterbury, and was noticed missing early Monday afternoon.

Affleje is a white man with short black hair and brown eyes. He is 5Õ11Ó and weighs about 170 pounds. He has several noticeable tattoos, including Asian symbols of unknown meaning on both hands, and another on his lower left arm with the inscription “RIP TINY JO-JO.”

Law enforcement agencies are engaged in a coordinated effort to return Affleje to custody and anyone with information concerning his whereabouts is asked to call the Command Post at the Edinburgh Correctional Facility at 812-526-8434 ext. 201.
