James Edward and Mary Jeanne (Lahti) Lenz of Brownsburg are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple was married July 22, 1962, at Faith Lutheran Church in Indianapolis.
Mrs. Lenz worked at Allisons Division of GM from 1960 to ‘63. She is a member of Christian Women’s Club, Bible Study Fellowship International, and Messiah Lutheran Church at Eagle Creek.
Mr. Lenz was a U.S. Air Force Air Traffic Controller from 1957 to ‘62, and then worked as a FAA Air Traffic Controller from ‘62 to ‘96. He is a member of Bible Study Fellowship International and Messiah Lutheran Church at Eagle Creek.
They are the parents of Charisse Phillips and husband Mitch of Greenwood, Alan Lenz and wife Lynn of Avon, Christine Begeman and husband Todd of Olmstead Township, Ohio, Nicole Bishop and husband Jim of Greenfield, and the late Michelle Lenz, who died in 1972.
Mr. and Mrs. Lenz are the grandparents of Griffin Lenz (16), Hayley Phillips (13), Bryce Lenz (13), Olivia Begeman (12), Aubrey Lenz (9), Cameron Begeman (9), Owen Bishop (8), Zachary Begeman (7), Claire Bishop (7), Clayton Lenz (5), Everett Bishop (3), Brynne Bishop (8 months), and Emory Bishop (2 months).
There will be an open house celebrating their golden anniversary from 1 to 4 p.m. July 29 at Messiah Lutheran Church at Eagle Creek, 6100 N. Raceway Road, Indianapolis.
