Bob and Zenna Meeks of Avon will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. April 14 in the recreation center at Kingsway Christian Church, 7981 E. C.R. 100 N., Avon.
Mr. Meeks and the former Zenna Carmichael were married April 6, 1952, in the Riverside E.U.B. Church in Muncie. They’ve been involved in Kingsway Christian Church, Chapel Rock Christian Church, and Fleming Garden Christian Church since 1955, in leadership and as teachers.
Mr. Meeks retired in 1990 after working 31 years at Allison Gas Turbine. Mrs. Meeks retired in 1995 after working 20 years as a Realtor.
The couple has three daughters, Cindy (John) Clark, Becki Henson, and Patti (Doug) Vernon. They have 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
