The children of Samuel and Uldene (Rooze) Goad are hosting an open house from 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Monrovia Festival Building to celebrate their parents' 60th wedding anniversary.
The couple was married Dec. 15, 1951, at West Union Church in Monrovia with the Rev. Gordon Rooze, brother of the bride, presiding. The Goads now live just outside of Greencastle.
They are the parents of sons Kevin Goad of Greencastle and Keith Goad of Reelsville, and daughters Kathy Clements of Mooresville, Karen Cash of Cloverdale, and Karla Buis of Greencastle. They have 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
