John and Martha Kivett are celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary.

The couple was married Nov. 3, 1956, in Indianapolis. After living in Indianapolis for 11 years, they moved to Plainfield, where they continue to reside.

Mr. Kivett retired from the Indianapolis Water Co. in 1994. Mrs. Kivett retired from Plainfield School Corporation in 1995.

They are the parents of John Jr. (Patti) of Plainfield, and Jane Greer (Mike) of Greenwood. They are the grandparents of Trey and Lindsay Kivett; and Laura, Brian, Elizabeth, and David Greer.

They celebrated their anniversary with a family dinner.
