Mayo anniversary

Charles Edward and Carol Jean (Johnson) Mayo of Plainfield will soon mark their 50th wedding anniversary.

The couple is being feted at a reception from 1 to 4 p.m. June 3 at Hendricks Power Cooperative in the banquet room.

Mr. Mayo is a retired truck driver. He is a member of Eagles and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mrs. Mayo is a bus driver for the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township. She is a member of the Red Hat Society.

They are the parents of Shelley (Mayo) and John Schrader of Danville, Miley (Mayo) and Ed Price of Clayton, Kelley (Mayo) and Rob Franklin of Danville, Kimberley Mayo of Plainfield, and Chuck Mayo of Plainfield. They have nine grandchildren: Travis and Ashley Schrader; Shantel (Price) Sifuentes; Jake and Joe Price; Dustin, Kalah, and Kacey Franklin; and Zyon Mayo. They have one great-grandchild -- Matthew Brock Price.
