Langdons celebrate 70th anniversary

Cecil and Georgia Langdon of Cartersburg recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a family gathering.

The Langdons were married Aug. 24, 1940.

Mr. Langdon was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He retired from Stewart Warner. Mrs. Langdon retired from General Motors Stamping Plant.

They are the parents of Geri and husband Richard, Jim and wife Penny, Kyla, Gail and husband Bill, and Jan and husband Doug. They also have eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
