Sarah Elizabeth Barnes and Scott Eugene Bozek, both of Avon, were married Aug. 8 in Indianapolis by Rev. Jon Overbey.
The bride is the daughter of Mary Jean Roberts, Bill Barnes, and Jerry McCarty of Clinton. She is the granddaughter of Florence and the late Frank Barnes; and Gladys and the late Albert Roberts. The bride’s brother Jonathan Barnes walked her down the aisle. She graduated from South Vermillion High School in 2003 and attended Indiana State University. She works for Duke Energy in Plainfield.
The groom is the son of Denise and David McIntosh of Avon and the late Doug Bozek of Plant City, Fla. He is the grandson of Gary and Donna Hooks of Plant City, Fla.; and Richard and the late Maggie Bozek of Brandon, Fla. He graduated from Brandon High School in Brandon, Fla., in 2005 and works for Circle City Lawn Care and T.S. Electric.
Lianne Kartes of Avon served as maid of honor. Bridal attendants were Justine Clark, of Clarksville, Ill.; Sarah Huffines, of Indianapolis; and the groom’s sister, Megan McIntosh of Avon.
The best man was Travis Withycombe of Avon. Groomsmen were Kevin Carson, Chase Mattox and Tyler Baumgartner, all of Avon.
Maridyn McCarty, niece of the bride, served as flower girl and Austin and Hunter Leeds were the ring bearers. Ushers were Chris Gibbs and Danny Nitz of Avon.
Out of town guests included Gary and Marie Hooks of North Charleston, S.C., Ken and Sandy Kreutz of Falkner, N.Y., and Robert Barnes of South Carolina.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Key West and Tampa Bay, Fla., and will reside in Avon.
