Flora-Young

Lydia Jo Flora and Kenneth Michael Young, both of Indianapolis, exchanged vows Nov. 28 at the Indiana State Museum.

The Rev. Robert McLaughlin officiated at the ceremony. Wedding music was provided by Brian Kendall of Avon, friend of the bride and groom.

The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Teresa Flora of North Manchester. She is a graduate of Manchester High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville. She works as a dental hygienist for Westbrooke Family Dental Center in Indianapolis.

The groom is the son of Kenneth and Patricia Young of Avon. He is a graduate of Avon High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana. He is a senior account manager for Superior Technical Resources in Indianapolis. He is also an IHSAA official, refereeing both soccer and wrestling.

Tosha Rhodes of West Lafayette and Casey Schneider of Sellersburg, friends of the bride, served as honor attendants. The best man was John Dean Haselden of Indianapolis, a friend of the groom.

Bridal attendants were Brittany McLaughlin of Indianapolis, friend of the bride; Jaime Keaffaber of South Whitley, sister of the bride; Maria Flora of Indianapolis, sister of the bride; and Amelia Flora of North Manchester, sister of the bride.

Groomsmen were Kevin Young of Avon, brother of the groom; Joey Gist of Indianapolis, friend of the groom; Chris Summerlot of Greenwood, friend of the groom; Adam Shaver of Avon, friend of the groom; and Andrew Prescott of Georgia, friend of the groom.

Ushers were Chadd Keaffaber of South Whitley, brother-in-law of the bride, and Zachary Toothman of Plainfield, a friend of the bride and groom.

Jaidyn Bills of Avon, friend of the bride and groom, and Cassidy Bowlin of Avon, cousin of the groom, served as flower girls, while Caden Bowlin of Avon, cousin of the groom, was the ring bearer.

Felicity Warner of Sarasota, Fla., and Gabrielle Wilcox of North Manchester, cousins of the bride, were the guest book/greeters.

Rachel Lucas of Apple Valley, Minn., friend of the bride, read scriptures.

One hundred and fifty people enjoyed a Christmas-themed evening reception at the Indiana State Museum in Indianapolis.

Following a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple is residing in Indianapolis.
