Amber Ferguson of Stillwater, Okla., and Mitchell Mayes of Plainfield are planning to be married June 26 in Plainfield.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Larry and Rose Ferguson of Leeton, Mo. She is a 2002 graduate of Crest Ridge High School in Missouri and a ‘06 graduate of the University of Central Missouri, where she received a bachelor’s degree in science. She plans to graduate in May from Oklahoma State University as a veterinarian and begin her career as a veterinarian specializing in small animals.
The prospective groom is the son of Rick and Kathy Mayes of Plainfield. He is a 2001 graduate of Avon High School and a ‘05 graduate of Indiana University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in public affairs. He was also a U.S. Air Force ROTC graduate. He is serving as a captain in the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. He is an air weapons officer on the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS).
